My second trip to Paris was actually 3 tourist days appended to a work trip. My plan was to take more time to soak in Paris, and not overload myself with an ambitious plan.

My work included a scenic dinner cruise on the Siene

I reserved the timed entry to the Eiffel Tower a few months in advance

I used Uber to get across the city for my timed entry to Palais Granier Opera – I was early so was able to check out the famous Galaries Lafayatte and the awesome views from the terrace and tourists posing

The opera house was beautiful- my experience slightly dampened by the many many women posing for extended photo shoots.

After returning to the 6th to my hotel, I sauntered along the Seine

I had not planned to visit Notre Dame for a few more days but could simply not resist

For dinner I stood in line at Brasserie des Prés on a Friday around 7 – my wait was about 30 minutes and was seated at a wonderful spot where I could see the Cour de Commerce and the lively kitchen
